WELLNESS IN THE WORKPLACE

Sedentary to Strong by Belle Vitale Wellness

Helping desk-based teams move more, build strength and develop sustainable wellbeing habits through practical education, accessible coaching and support tailored to their starting point.

PRODUCTIVITY BEGINS WITH PHYSIOLOGY

Most organisations treat focus and energy as a mindset issue. Often they're a physical one.

Long hours at a desk, back-to-back calls and working lunches keep the body still for most of the day. Over weeks and months, that shows up as afternoon slumps, neck and back pain, poor sleep, low energy and rising stress.

The numbers reflect it.

9.4 DAYS

The average UK employee now takes 9.4 sick days a year, the highest level in more than 15 years (CIPD, 2025).

TOP 3

Musculoskeletal problems, such as back and neck pain, are one of the top 3 causes of sickness absence in the UK (ONS, 2025).

42%

In one study, 42% of office workers reported neck pain and 34% reported low back pain, and women were more likely to report neck, shoulder and upper back symptoms.

EVERY 30 MINUTES

People who break up their sitting at least every 30 minutes have the lowest health risk, and just 3 minutes of light movement is enough to make a measurable difference.

WHAT WE COVER

The good news is that the solution doesn't start with a gym membership. It starts with small, regular movement built into the working day.

Everyday movement: breaking up prolonged sitting and finding realistic ways to move during the working day.

Strength and confidence: helping beginners understand strength training and feel confident getting started, at home or in the gym.

Posture and physical wellbeing: mobility, movement awareness and strength for desk-based roles.

Nutrition and energy: simple, achievable habits that fit busy working lives.

Stress, sleep and recovery: understanding why recovery matters and making manageable changes.

Women's health and menopause: specialist education and support around changing needs, symptoms, confidence and working life.

ASSESS FIRST, THEN TAILOR

Every team is different. Your people will have different starting points, abilities, health considerations and confidence levels.

We start by understanding your organisation: your people, working patterns, wellbeing priorities and the support you already offer. From there we recommend a starting point and agree how progress will be measured.

HOW WE CAN WORK WITH YOU

Introductory talks: engaging sessions introducing Sedentary to Strong or a specific wellbeing topic.

Practical workshops: movement breaks, beginner strength, posture and mobility.

Short programmes: education and practical action over several weeks, giving people time to build habits.

Ongoing support: regular sessions, check-ins and personalised exercise guidance.

Specialist sessions: menopause and women's health, alongside a broader offer for mixed teams.
